CRINGE CULTURE AND QUEER CULTURE - 03/06/24

im sitting im my skls gsa meeting pc its pissing rain outside and my friend's not here and it made me realize something. cringe culture is queer culture, we all know that. see, theres about 2 queer kids and the other 4 are (invited) allies. and theyre having fun, being loud, whatever. but i feel it's not the same as when i was their age, really. their humor is mainstream watered-down tiktok gay humor. it's so bland and they're just like youtube shorts skibidi toilet kids with a pride pin. it's missing like the key part of being a queer young person. CRINGE!! AND A BIG DOSE OF IT!! what happened to the monster energy? the drawing on your converse? im not saying all queer people are cringe but being a kid and queer has changed so much. i think most queer kids are (and ill say it) afraid to like queer culture. because cringe culture is built off of making fun of queer kids. and it's just sad to see the community isnt the same. seems liek more and more queer kids are trying to act more 'straight' to avoid being called cringe :(
